GREG BROWNING

Having completed his post-graduate training at the BBC, Greg worked as a Network Analyst for BBC Transmission (now part of Arquiva). In 2001 he founded Silicon19 Media Ltd, a boutique media company specialising media production within the fields of arts and science. Clients include Channel 4, The Royal Society, Glyndebourne Opera and British Red Cross. In addition to his work at Polyphonic he is a board member of The Gloucestershire Media Group (a not-for-profit media development agency), You Are Here (a digital entertainment research company) and Cornerstone. As an independent producer he is currently co-producing a feature version of Macbeth which was recently shot on location in Austria.

JOHN LA BOUCHARDIÈRE

A former chorister at Magdalen College, Oxford, John completed his post-graduate studies at the University of Birmingham. He spent several years working internationally as an assistant and revival director in opera, for such companies as the BBC, Channel 4, English National Opera, New Israeli Opera, Opera Graz, Opéra National du Rhin, Opera North, Scottish Opera, Teatro Liceu (Barcelona), Vlaamse Opera, Teatro São Carlos (Lisbon) and La Fenice. As a director in his own right, his recent productions include Semele (Scottish Opera and Florentine Opera, Milwaukee), Eugene Onegin, Tamerlano (Scottish Opera), Rigoletto (Opera Holland Park), Don Giovanni (Varna, Bulgaria), Carmen (Nordfjord, Norway) and The Full Monteverdi (world tour with I Fagiolini), which he redeveloped as a film.

ROBERT HOLLINGWORTH

Most of Robert Hollingworth’s work has revolved around I Fagiolini, the vocal ensemble he founded in 1986 and directs.  With them he has made 16 CDs, 2 DVDs, toured internationally and developed an unusual brand of innovative and often provocative ways of looking at 16th and 20th century a capella repertoire.  I Fagiolini is a regular guest at BBC Proms and in 2005 was awarded the Royal Philharmonic’s Ensemble Prize.  Robert has also directed BBC Singers, BBC Concert Orchestra, NDR Chor, NKK and Accentus, the Academy of Ancient Music and English Concert.  He’s a regular writer and presenter for BBC Radio 3 and an artistic advisor to two festivals.  Monteverdi and Monty Python are equal influences on his work.
